March: In Like A Lion

March: In like a Lion, out like a lamb. Let’s hope that this old saying rings true! For those of us that attempted runs Friday night or Saturday morning a respite from the wind can’t come soon enough. Of course, the weather did not stop PRTC from taking on some early March races.

Vincentown, NJ: Dynise Balcavage WON the Jade Run 5k on Saturday morning. This meant facing 20+ MPH winds. Dynise took this in stride and scored 1st female at the 22nd annual running of the event. Her time was 22:04.

New York, NY: Lauren Kelly wisely opted to take on an indoor race. She traveled to NYC for the classic “Thursday Night at the Races” series hosted at the Armory Indoor Track. Lauren ran the mile in 5:20, placing 4th in a field of 35. Congrats on a great race!

Adrenaline 5k Sign Ups (Last chance)

There were just 26 spots left in the Adrenaline 5k as of this morning. The sign-up deadline is tonight at midnight. Please register ASAP if you’d like to run this one! The Adrenaline 5k is both a Grand Prix race and the USATF Mid-Atlantic 5k Championships.
